ExoMount universal car dash mount questions:

 
  1. Does the ExoMount stick to everything?
    • No, but it sticks to anything with a flat surface. It’s meant to be used in your car, but if you wanted you can use it pretty much anywhere.
  2. What is the recommended way to install the ExoMount?
    • First, make sure the surface is clean of dust, debris, oil and grime. To do this, use a damp cloth to wipe down the installation site. Make sure you have enough room to accommodate the suction cup it’s about 3” diameter. Next peel off the white preservation sticker and mount the ExoMount, once you have your desired position, lock it in place.
  3. What kind of water do I rinse the ExoMount with so I can re-use it?
    • Use warm water if you can and run it over the surface of the suction cup. Do not scrub or wipe the suction cup, let the water simply rinse off the dirt, dust and debris on there. Let it dry out and it will be ready to mount again.
  4. How many times can I rinse and re-use the ExoMount?
    • This varies user to user. But if you uninstall the ExoMount, rinse it before you mount it again, this will provide the longest lasting use of the ExoMount.
  5. Can I mount my phone with a case?
    • Yes you can. We’ve test big phones like the Galaxy Note 2 with an Otterbox Defender and it holds it just fine.

ExoMount Touch easy 1-touch car mount questions:

 
  1. What is the maximum size phone the ExoMount Touch can mount?
    • It can mount up to 5.8-inch screen (diagonally) smart phones. If using a case, please make sure the measurements are within: 3.46” W x 0.7” D (85.6mm W x 12.6mm D)
  2. What is the minimum size phone the ExoMount Touch can mount?
    • The smallest smartphone supported is 3.5-inch screen (diagonally). If using a case, please make sure the measurements are within: 2.31” W x 0.1” D (58.8mm W x 2.5mm D)
  3. How much surface space do I need to mount the ExoMount Touch?
    • The suction cup measures 2.274” diameter (57.75mm diameter). You’ll need clearance on height/width to equal your phone’s length + 2 inches.
  4. How does the Touch function work?
    • The ExoMount Touch uses a smart spring load system that closes and opens with a touch. Similar to a clickable ball pen, just much stronger and secure.
  5. What kind of surfaces will the ExoMount Touch mount on?
    • The upgraded World’s Best Suction Technology ™ for the ExoMount Touch allows flat, smooth, curved and textured mounting. This means any surface on your car dashboard, windshield, dash panel, desk, leather, wood, plastic, metal, nylon, polyurethane, faux leather and even drywall will mount to. Please don’t mount on paper, the sticky silicone that helps create an airtight seal may damage the paper.
  6. What is the recommended way to install the ExoMount Touch?
    • Clean the mounting surface with a damp towel or microfiber cloth. It will need to be dry and free of debris to take full advantage of the suction technology.
  7. What kind of water do I rinse the ExoMount Touch with so I can re-use it?
    • Please use luke-warm water and rinse the sticky suction pads thoroughly, do not scrub the sticky pads. Then air dry for best results. If done correctly, there will be no lint or dust stuck to the bottom of the suction cup.
  8. How many times can I rinse and re-use the ExoMount Touch?
    • This will vary user to user and climate to climate. For best results, rinse and dry the suction cup every time it is unmounted.
  9. What climate can the ExoMount Touch be used in?
    • All climates. We’ve been testing the ExoMount Touch for the past year from bone chilling climates of -40°F(-40°C) to desert scorching hot temperatures up to 250°F (115°C).
  10. Can I leave my ExoMount Touch mounted all the time?
    • We don’t recommend it but yes you can. Prolonged periods In direct sunlight and in some rare cases, extended periods not in direct sunlight, the internal temperature of a car can heat up past 250°F (115°C) and it may cause damage to your dashboard and/or ExoMount Touch.
  11. How do I know if I have a genuine ExoMount Touch?
    • The ExoMount Touch was released in 2013 September. All genuine products will have the distinctive “X” logo 1-touch button and only sold in retail packages marked with our official product hologram.
  12. What is the diameter of the ball joint?
    • 15 mm
  13. What is the diameter of the suction cup?

  1. What is the maximum size tablet the ExoMount Tablet can mount?
    • You can mount tablets up to 10.1-inch screen (diagonally). If using a case, please make sure it is no bigger than 7.875”W x 0.5”D (200mm W x 12.7mm D)
  2. What is the minimum size tablet the ExoMount Tablet can mount?
    • You can mount tablets as small as 8.9-inch screen (diagonally). If using a case, please make sure it is no smaller than 5.9”W x 0.1”D (150mm W x 2mm D)
  3. What is the mounting disc for?
    • For most dashboards, you won’t need the mounting disc. Some dashboards are too curved or textured to mount without a mounting disc, in these instances, you would need a mounting disc.
  4. Where can I get an extra mounting disc?

ExoLife™ for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S questions:

 
  1. Does the exolife fit the Verizon iPhone?
  2. How does the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S connect to the ExoLife™?
    • It would be best described with a diagram, you can download or view the quick start guide here.
  3. Are the speaker and mic covered?
    • Yes, the speaker and mic are covered to protect the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S from dust and debris. However, the functionality of the speaker and mic are not lost. The bottom-front side of the ExoLife™ case (where it says exogear) has front firing ports to re-direct sound. So more than hindering the speaker/mic, it enhances it.
  4. Is there any signal loss from using the ExoLife™?
    • There is none more than should be expected. I.e. if you get full bars, by just putting on the ExoLife™ you won’t lose any bars.
  5. Does the ExoLife™ cover the front?
    • The front rim is covered but the screen is not. You may use your current screen protector or other screen protectors with our ExoLife™.
  6. Is the USB port micro USB or mini USB?
    • All of our ExoLife™ cases use standard mini-USB ports. Should you lose, misplace, or just want another cable, you can find these standard cables at any electronic store.
  7. Can I use other skins/shields with the ExoLife™?
    • Depending on the thickness and coverage of the skin/shields, it may be possible for you to use it with the ExoLife™ because the ExoLife™ is designed specifically to fit the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S no more than 0.2mm thickness would be allowed on the back. And no more than 0.05mm would be allowed on the sides. As for the front, you can use any thickness screen protectors but not anything that would cover the rim. Please note: the use of other shields/skins in conjunction with our products may affect the performance of our products.

 

 

ExoLife Galaxy S4 questions:

 
  1. Does the ExoLife Galaxy S4 fit the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active?
    • No, the ExoLife Galaxy S4 battery case does not. The Galaxy S4 Active is a different physical size than the Galaxy S4. Please do not try to force it to fit.
  2. How do I know when the ExoLife is fully charged?
    • All the LED lights on the ExoLife will turn off when the ExoLife is completely charged. If the 4th LED light is still blinking, it means the case is not fully charged.
  3. Why does the last 10% take longer to charge than the first 90%?
    • The last 10% charges slower to ensure the battery is not overcharged.
  4. Why does it seem like the ExoLife is not charging my Galaxy S4?
    • This occurs if the battery consumption is equal or greater than the charging value. If you are using the Galaxy S4 while the ExoLife is charging your phone, this may occur depending on various conditions such as your signal, type of connection being used, screen brightness settings, etc. With maxed setting and a weak (1 bar) LTE signal, the talk/data consumption is higher than the charge speed. Or if you are using your Galaxy S4 as navigation with maxed settings, the consumption will be higher than the charge speed.
  5. Why does the phone show less than 100% charge when using the ExoLife?
    • The charge percentage will vary depending on your settings, usage and connection type. It’s impossible to tell what exact percentage you will get because of the various factors.
  6. How can I test to see if I’m actually getting almost double the battery?
    • The best way is to not use the ExoLife for 3-4 days, write down how many times and at what time you had to plug into an AC adapter. Then use the ExoLife and write down how many times and at what times you had to plug into an AC adapter. Compare the times on average and you’ll be able to more accurately measure the battery life times you are actually receiving.
